San Antonio Riverwalk, Texas
I love visiting San Antonio Texas, specially in the summer. My favorite place is The San Antonio Riverwalk. The San Antonio Riverwalk is located in Downtown San Antonio. I love this place because it’s just so fresh. I usually visit in the summer time to it’s so refreshing to be on the boat and enjoy yummy food. My favorite food is Mexican and there are plenty of those here. You just sit back enjoy your nachos and margaritas while you look at the boats pass by.
The San Antonio Riverwalk is a fun mesh of walkways along the banks of the San Antonio River. Here you find cool bars, shops, restaurants, nature, and public art. The River Walk is a great place for tourist attraction.
So if you’re visiting San Antonio, be sure to stop by and enjoy some fresh Mexican food and margaritas. There is also a cool boat ride that takes you along the river. A tourist guy explains a little of the San Antonio Riverwalk history.
The Alamo
While visiting the San Antonio Riverwalk, you can also stop by The Alamo. It is one of the most iconic buildings in the world. (It is the pic above)
If you are wondering what The Alamo is; it is a former Roman Catholic mission and fortress compound, and the site of the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. The Battle of the Alamo (February 23 – March 6, 1836) was a pivotal event in the Texas Revolution.
The entrance is free so that was pretty cool. Visitors can then go inside and explore. I went inside and got to learn a bit about the battle. I also saw a mini artwork of how the place was in 1836. It was much larger. You can also explore other pieces that remain. You can even watch a movie or documentary that is projected onto a wall.
San Fernando Cathedral
At the heart of Downtown San Antonio, you will also find the San Fernando Cathedral. The cathedral is also known as the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria y Guadalupe. It is a beautiful church. I just love the roman looking architecture. It is known as the oldest cathedral in the state of Texas.
That’s all for my San Antonio Riverwalk trip. I came here with my aunt and cousin before our Miami Road Trip. Head over there to read all about it. We also passed through New Orleans. Make sure to check that out as well. : )
beautiful shots!!! Looks like a fun trip!!! <3
